Espresso, chosen with intent
Istinal is a Houston-based store dedicated to one thing: helping home coffee drinkers find the right espresso machine. We don't sell kettles, toasters or a thousand kitchen gadgets. Our catalog is built around espresso — from guided semi-automatics like the Breville Barista Express to super-automatics from De'Longhi, Jura, Philips and Bosch, and prosumer dual boilers and lever machines from Rancilio, Diletta, La Pavoni and Rocket.
Buying an espresso machine is a bigger decision than most kitchen purchases. The price is real, the specs are confusing, and the difference between a single boiler and a dual boiler, or a pressurized and a non-pressurized basket, matters every single morning. We started Istinal to make that decision clearer.
How we build our catalog
Only machines made for US homes
Every machine we list is a 120V model with a US plug. We remove European and UK imports, because a 230V machine on a US outlet is a problem you should never have to discover after delivery.
Proven models first
Our catalog starts from the machines US buyers already rely on — well-reviewed, widely owned models — rather than whatever is newest or cheapest that week.
Honest listings
We publish the real model number and barcode for every machine we can verify, list what is actually in the box, and only show a crossed-out price when the manufacturer's list price is genuinely higher.
Specs you can compare
Pump pressure, boiler type, grinder, wattage, water tank and dimensions are laid out the same way on every product page, so you can compare a $600 machine and a $2,000 machine side by side.
What we believe
- The right machine beats the most expensive one. If a $550 super-automatic fits your routine better than a $2,500 dual boiler, we will tell you so.
